Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): Kohima Town Club (KTC) has announced to organise a football referee clinic from September 28 to October 2nd at IG Stadium, Kohima. The five-day long clinic would be conducted under the guidance of Joy Chandra Singh, AIFF football referee instructor.

A press release from the club informed that owing to global Covid-19 pandemic many physical activities have been put on hold especially in sports activities. However, with partial relaxation by the government, the club decided to organise the football referee clinic to improve the standard of the game. The motive to bring AIFF instructor and impart fresh updates on both physical and mental fitness to football referees/match officials was to enable the state referees conduct upcoming football tournaments/championships with confidence.

In this regard, the club invited all interested persons to take part and participate in the clinic with a common motto “For the community: for the game”. For registration, interested candidates are asked to visit Sports Paradise at Rüluo Market in Keziekie, Kohima, or contact the officials on phone nos. 9612015062 and 9856773620.

Meanwhile, the club agreed to cancel this year’s edition of KFL due to the pandemic and agreed to conduct the said tournament next year. The agreement to this effect was taken during its emergency meeting held on September 14.
