Kohima total lockdown peaceful on day-2

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The second day of total lockdown on July 26 passed off peacefully with no report of any untoward incident from any wards and colonies under Kohima municipality.

An update from the Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) stated that its officials visited five wards on the second day and interacted with the ward leaders. The officials have appealed to maintain peaceful and friendly enforcement in tune with the SOP guidelines of the government.

The wards visited on day-2 included Lower Chandmari, Naga Bazaar, Daklane, North Block and New Market.

Meanwhile, the association reported that two cases of Covid-19 at D Block and Naga Bazaar were detected within the already contained zone. Informing that the positive cases were carefully taken care of with all protocols, the association has requested the citizens not to panic but strictly follow the SOP lockdown regulations to contain the spread of the disease.

AKMWP further requested its citizens to join hands for a fruitful total lockdown and make Kohima a safer place to live in.
