Kohima, Shamator DPDB meetings held

DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held at DPDB Hall in Kohima on Monday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant.

Kropol Vitsu, Advisor, Prison, Printing and Stationery, and Chairman of Kohima DPDB, emphasised the establishment of BDO and SDAO offices under 15 Southern Angami-II A/C and urged the administrative and concerned departments to bring out the necessary documents as soon as possible for further review by the government, according to a DIPR report, at the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the recognition of Assam Rifles Primary School, Tsiesema, and agreed to make recommendations to the government regarding further action.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramnikant reviewed the previous meeting minutes while urging district officers to attend the upcoming Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza on January 26. He added that attendance will be recorded at the venue, and follow-up action will be taken at the next DPDB meeting.

For the Republic Day exhibition football match, the DC requested that district officers submit at least one player’s name from their respective department on or before January 19.

Lanusenla L Peseyie, Administrator of Kohima Municipal Council, informed the house during the meeting about the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme, which is scheduled to take place on January 19 and is being organised by the Kohima Municipal Council.

She also requested that all line departments contribute their services in their respective areas to ensure the event’s success.

The general manager of DIC Kohima, Y Intsangju Sangtam, presented the departmental activities during the meeting. Additionally, the Regional Transport Office, Kohima, was assigned the responsibility of presenting the departmental activities at the next meeting.

Shamator: At the Shamator DPDB meeting on Monday, Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports and Chairman of DPDB Shamator S Keoshu Yimkhiung asked all government officers and staff to be at the station and carry out their duties judiciously.

Meanwhile, the DPO requested that members submit iconic schemes, along with photos, and have them verified. The house also decided that the RD department would pay visits to orphanages as part of the 75th Republic Day celebrations.

Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the DPDB Shamator, Y Chingyak Konyak, presided over the meeting.
