Kohima Science College organises ‘Zoo talk series-2’ on the theme “Panorama of sericulture in Nagaland”

DIMAPUR — The Zoology department of Kohima Science College (KSC), Jotsoma, has organised ‘Zoo talk series-2’ on March 9 at ICT Lab on the theme “Panorama of sericulture in Nagaland” with Henwalo Lorin, proprietor of Lorin’s Farm, Tseminyu, as the resource person.
An update from the college stated that Henwalo Lorin delivered a comprehensive presentation on sericulture in Nagaland. The series was divided into two sessions. The first session focused on the technical aspects and the silk worm rearing technique, while the second session comprised an interactive Q&A and discussion round.
The programme began with a welcome address delivered by associate professor, Venolu Kezo, followed by conceptual remarks and introduction of the resource person by associate professor, Dr. Lilongchem Thyug.

It stated the event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Katasinliu Remmei, head of Zoology department.
It further informed that a total of 107 students from B.Sc 6th semester, M.Sc 2nd semester and M.Sc 4th semesters along with the teaching faculty members of the Zoology department attended the programme.
