Kohima Rotary Club welcomes cyclists

Dimapur, Sep 24 (EMN): Rotary Club Kohima welcomed two cyclists from Rotary Club of Calicut Uptown, RID 3202, Kerela. The two cyclists started paddling on August 8 in a mission to connect the world through their journey to end polio and raise awareness about health issues and environment.
They have rode for 45 days and reached Kohima on September 20. They will be riding through seven countries namely India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and end in Singapore with a gala ceremony.
The two cyclists have expressed admiration on the rich cultures and traditions of the Nagas and also praised about the nature of Nagaland.

In Kohima, they visited 2nd World War Cemetery and also witnessed the opening ceremony of the prestigious 20th NSF Martyrs’ memorial trophy 2019 in Kohima.

President of Rotary Club Kohima, Dr. Neisatuo Mero, flagged off their next ride to Senapati via Imphal on September 22 in the presence of the club members.
