Kohima police penalise traffic defaulters
Kohima police traffic personnel carrying out inspection on banned retrofitted accessories in the State capital.

Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): In an effort to curb the menace of traffic violations in the State capital, Kohima traffic police has seized and penalised a number of vehicles- both four wheelers and two wheelers for parking violations and also removed quite a substantive number of banned retrofitted accessories from vehicles in the past couple of weeks.

According to PRO, DEF Kohima, 43 four wheelers and 31 two wheelers were challaned/ seized for parking violations.

Apart from the above seizures, the following are some of the retrofitted banned accessories removed from vehicles. It included 175 for tainted glass, 94 for bull bars, 62 for flash light/ blinkers, two for modified exhaust pipes, and one for flag post.

The release further stated that Kohima traffic police would continue in its endeavour to make Kohima a better and safer place for its denizens. It appealed to all vehicle users to extend their fullest cooperation and abide by the law.
