Kohima police issues traffic regulations for Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit to Nagaland
Dimapur, Aug. 20 (EMN): Kohima police has issued traffic regulations to be enforced in the state capital in view of the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit to Nagaland for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Investment conclave to be held from August 22 to the 24th.
An update from the police informed that “on-road parking” will be restricted from classic point to Red Cross building, NSF Martyrs Park; Box-cutting to T.C.P gate; Y-Junction to New NST; Old NST to Razhü point; and PHQ junction to South Point Market.
“All officials, delegates and visitors attending the CSR Investment and Banking Conclave at NBCC Convention Centre shall park their vehicle at NSF Solidarity Park, Directorate of Social Welfare compound. No vehicle will be allowed to park on the road side from NSF Solidarity Park to Office of the Nagaland Public Service Commission,” read the order.
“Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to commute within Kohima Municipal area from 0800 hrs. (8 am) till all official programmes are completed for the day,” it informed, adding that ‘loading/unloading of goods within Kohima Municipal area should be completed by 7 am.
An update from the DIPR also informed that Sitharaman and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will attend the conclave.
The update informed that several corporate heads, and captains of Indian industry and executives will participate in three programmes, including CSR conclave to be inaugurated on August 22 at the NBCC Convention Centre at 4:00 pm; Technical Session of CSR Conclave on August 23 at the NBCC Convention Centre from 10 am onwards; Banker’s Conclave to be held at the State Cultural Hall on August 23 at 10:00 am; and the Investment and Start up Conclave to be held at the IT&C Centre at 10:00 am.
“All the three events have vital implications on the functioning of the departments in the changed global environment being – CSR, Banking, and Investment. Departments have been requested to attend all the three events by deputing their officers to the same so that they will learn from the proceedings,” read the update.
Sitharaman, who will arrive in Nagaland on August 22, is also expected to visit Mon district, besides Kohima and Dimapur during her three-day visit to the state.
