Kohima Police issues traffic regulations for assembly session

Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): In view of the 12th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled from September 20 to the 22nd, Kohima Police has issued traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement.

It informed that vehicles only with car pass bearing letter ‘X,’ ‘Y,’ Assembly logo, ‘LH,’ ‘O,’ and ‘On Assembly duty’ would be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat. Besides, it stated that no vehicle would be allowed parking by the roadside from 6 am onwards during Assembly sessions from BSNL telephone exchange till Classic Island, from Raj Bhavan till MS Classic Island, from Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via Razhü point and High School, and from New CM Official Residence, Phezoucha, to Assembly Secretariat.

It stated that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Assembly session from 6 am till the session is over, adding all loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 6 am during the Assembly session. It further stated heavy vehicles would not be allowed parking along ‘D’ Block road.

While seeking co-operation from the public, police informed that defaulting vehicles would be towed away and the charges be borne by the vehicles owners.
