Kohima Police issues traffic regulation for R-Day

Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): In view of the 72nd Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza on January 26, the Kohima police have issued traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement.

According to a press release issued by PRO Kohima police, only vehicles with car pass ‘A’ (red) and car pass ‘B’ (blue) would be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza, while vehicles with car pass ‘C’ (green) would drop their respective officers at the main gate and be parked outside the Secretariat complex.

It stated that vehicles without car passes would not be allowed to enter the Secretariat complex and should be parked along the Assembly Secretariat road.

It added that no vehicles including two wheelers would not be allowed to park by the roadside on January 26 from 6 am onwards from Raj Bhavan – TCP Gate – Razhu Point – High School – New Secretariat Complex and from new CM official residence, Phezoucha, to New Secretariat Complex.

Besides, it stated that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town till the programme is over. It has directed to complete all loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town by 7 am.

While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the police also informed that defaulting vehicles would be towed away for which the charges would be borne by the vehicle owners.
