Kohima, June 24 (EMN): Kohima Police has registered a case against the two extortionists involved in June 23’s incident, where one was shot dead near Y-Junction in Kohima and the other was arrested and taken into police custody.
PRO and additional SP of Kohima Talisunep informed Eastern Mirror that it was a ‘merit’ case as the duo was in possession of arms.
Meanwhile, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Kohima North Police Station, Yanbemo Humtsoe, stated that a case has been registered against the duo at North Police Station with case number 23/2020 under caption 384/34 IPC R/W 25 (1B) of Arms Act.
The officers also informed that the police are further investigating the case as the two were claimed to be part of a Naga political group.
