Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Basing on complain about the presence of suspected plastic rice in Kohima town, field staff of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) collected six samples of rice and handed over to the food safety officials for further necessary action on March 3.
Subsequently on May 16, the Food Analyst of State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL) submitted its test report wherein it ruled out the presence of plastic in the rice.
While appreciating the concern shown by the citizens and the efforts put in by the SPHL, KMC administrator, Kovi Meyase requested the public to be aware of any such activities and inform to his office.
