Kohima Municipal Council informs wards, shops to ready for festivities

Dimapur, Nov. 26 (EMN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed ward panchayats in the KMC jurisdiction that the 9th edition of the annual inter-ward cleanliness competition and pre-Christmas celebrations will be conducted on December 16 at 4 pm in the KMC office’s premises.

Kovi Meyase, administrator of the KMC, issued a press release requesting the wards to continually keep their respective wards clean, and with festive illuminations. The council informed that the award committee constituted by the council has already started inspecting and marking points based on the various aspects of the awarding criteria.

The KMC also requested the business community to paint their shops or display signboards along with setting up good lighting.
