Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhüng adopts three-point resolution
DIMAPUR — The Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhüng (KLEE) has resolved to let the present team continue for another one year in view of the 50 years jubilee of the Kohima Lotha Hoho to be celebrated next year, while it also resolved to check on the misuse of social media by any person or groups within its organisation and usage of Lotha traditional attires based on different occasions.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its general meeting held on October 26 held at AWO Ki in Kohima.
Speaking at the occasion as special guest, the president of Impact Her, Nagaland, Shompvü Zanbeni Yanthan, urged the members to work together for the uplift of women and be support system for the betterment of the society.
She pointed out that mothers should guide the youngsters to respect and give importance to the elders and also reminded the women to support the family and society with perseverance and to acquire more knowledge from all, an update from the organisation stated.
In his greetings, the chairman of Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH), Shompo KN Mhonthung Lotha, said the society need more women contributions for better development and reminded that women in general are faring better than men.
Delivering the welcome address, KLEE president, Shompvü Renboni Ezung, urged the members to preserve tradition attires, which is their identity and earn respect from others. She also urged to build the bond of relationship between KLEE and the various churches and work together.
Meanwhile, KLEE general secretary, Shompvü Achanbeni Shitio, and the treasurer, Shompvü Avani AE Lotha, presented their reports, while Shompvüro Tumchobeni Tsopoe and Shompo Mhombemo Murry enthrall the gathering with songs.
