Kohima Law College annual sports meet underway
Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): Kohima Law College inaugurated its annual sports meet on Tuesday, coinciding with International Women’s Day at Kohima College/TM Govt. Higher Secondary School’s playground, Kohima.
Asst. Professor Kezhokhoto Savi said that out of 150 sports men and women participating in the meet, ‘we have more women’s participation which makes the celebration more meaningful’, an update stated.
He urged to take action for equality and to help forge a gender equal world.
Stating that ‘Health is Wealth’, Savi shared that some young people ruin their health through bad eating and drinking habits leading to several illnesses. He also added that there were many health conscious citizens who go for regular morning and evening walks.
He added that ‘we are in dire need of a clean and sustainable environment free from dust and pollution. As a senior legal consultant of Kohima Smart City Development Limited, he urged everyone to give full cooperation to Kohima Smart City Development projects.
Earlier the KLCEU President said the invocation, welcome note given by the President of Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU), while Nocklei M and Yongyo presented a special number. The oath taking ceremony was led by the Sports Secretary KLCSU.
