Kohima issues additional directives for extended lockdown

Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has issued additional directives while informing that the existing lockdown measures would continue to remain in force in Kohima district till June 30.

Additional directives:

  • Permitted category of shops will open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 am to 2 pm.
  • Proprietors of permitted category of business establishment and private establishments will be held responsible for ensuring strict compliance to Covid-19 SOPs within their respective establishments.
  • Total ban on the movement of people and vehicles from 2 pm to 5 am every day from June 19 to the 30th across the district, except for those who are permitted to move as per the existing lockdown measures.

The district administration went on to inform that citizens can email all queries to warroomkohima@gmail.com and call Helpline Nos. 6033833879/ 9362705742 for any assistance.

“Any action (s) in contravention with the above stated shall be deemed to have committed an Offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005,” it warned.
