Kohima, June 24 (EMN): The Brahma Kumaris, a meditation centre in Kohima, organised a mediation programme called the “life enrichment programme” in Kohima. The programme was conducted with the slogan “Live your life and forget about the age.”
The main objective of the institution is to empower senior citizens to ‘live happy and healthy life through meditation and physical exercise,’ said Dr. Mahesh N Hemadri, a geriatrician of the GV Mody Rural Health Care Centre.
The Rajyoga meditation claims to be ‘beneficial at various levels including reducing stress, improving relationship, increase concentration and inner power, personality development, control on inner weakness’ etc.
They informed that the meditation and physical course will be given for free to the young and senior citizens at the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga meditation centre, at the PWD shopping complex, near the PWD police point in Kohima from 8:00 to 11:00 in the morning and 4:00 to 7:00 in the evening.
The experts at the event also spoke on the need to show care and love, show support for the family during difficult times; demonstrating trust, spending time together and working together to solve problems. (With inputs from IPR)
