Kohima, June 4 (EMN): Defending champions Sechü Zubza FC will kick off its campaign against Khriekesa FC in the first match of the 3rd Kohima Football League on June 8. The Kohima Town Club has released its official fixtures for 3rd season on June 4. A gruelling league matches will see a total of 21 matches on the process during a month long tournament.
The 3rd KFL is scheduled to begin on June 8 at the IG Stadium in Kohima. The inaugural ceremony, scheduled at 12 noon, will be attended by Zale Neikha, advisor of youth resources and sports as the special guest.
Defending champions Sechü Zubza FC will be vying for the coveted league title along with six other teams including Vanguard FC Tseminyu, Khriekesa FC Meriema, Forerunners FC Thizama, United 16 FC, Kohima along with debutants Kohima Eagles FC and A. Yhome FC.
Some of the prominent players in the league are Hitova Ayemi, who is currently playing for Minerva Punjab FC, he will be playing for debutant team Kohima Eagles, while former Aizawl FC player Kwethelhi Thopi will play for Forerunners FC.
