Kohima Dynamic Cricket Club defeats Raptors by 100 runs to win the Gold Cup 50-Ball Cricket Tournament organised by Nepali Baptist Church Kohima.

DIMAPUR — Kohima Dynamic Cricket Club emerged champions of the Gold Cup 50-Ball Cricket Tournament at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima, on Saturday.
According to an update, the three-day six-a-side tennis ball tournament was organised by the Nepali Baptist Church (NBC), Kohima, as part of its year-long golden jubilee celebration. It featured 18 teams from within and outside Nagaland.
In the final match, Kohima Dynamic defeated Raptors by 100 runs. Batting first, Dynamic scored 188 runs using the complete 50 balls, while Raptors were bundled out for 88 runs.
The champions received a cash award of INR 25,000 along with a trophy and medals, while the runners-up received INR 15,000 with a trophy and medals.

Vishal of Dynamic Kohima received the Man of the Series award, which carried a cash prize of INR 5,000 and a trophy, for scoring a total of 212 runs and claiming six wickets. He also received the Best Batsman award of INR 2,000 and a trophy. The Best Bowler award, carrying INR 2,000 and a trophy, went to Anil Gurung for claiming six wickets.
The losing semi-finalists were Nepali Baptist Church (NBC) Zubza and Youngsters CC.
Tapu of Dynamic was named the Man of the Match in the final for scoring an unbeaten 99 runs. He received INR 1,000, sponsored by Vizoto Hibo, commandant of the 4th NAP, and a medal.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by Santu Thapa, president of the Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK). In his address, he appreciated the organisers, stating that such initiatives guide the youth in the right direction by keeping them physically fit, mentally strong, and morally grounded.
"When the Church takes the lead in such constructive activities, it sends a powerful message of holistic development – of body, mind, and spirit," he said.
Encouraging the players, he remarked that every match played and every effort made is a victory in itself, regardless of the result.
Thapa, along with Dr. Gopal Basnet, board chairman of NBC Kohima and convenor of the golden jubilee; Jack Thapa, pastor; and Narayan Bahadur, convenor of the Golden Jubilee Sports Committee, handed over the prizes to the winners.
