Kohima DTF holds emergency meeting on revised SOP for Covid-19

Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): The Kohima district task force (DTF) on Covid-19 held an emergency meeting in the DC's Office Chamber on June 8 in regard to the revised standard operating procedure (SOP) for returnees to be released from the institutional quarantine for home quarantine.

According to an update from DPRO Kohima, the meeting was chaired by Kohima Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of DTF Gregory Thejawelie and attended by Sr. SP Kohima K Sophie; CMO Kohima Dr.Vezokholu; Medical Superintendent NHA, Dr. Kuobunuo; KMC Administrator KoviMeyase and other DTF members.

The DC apprised the members on the revised SOP in regard to returnees to be released from the government quarantine centres for home quarantine, where the clearance has to be given by the Medical Team at the facilities.

“Thereafter it will be considered and recommended by the DTF, which will be sent to the chief secretary for obtaining his concurrence,” he said, adding that “after receiving the concurrence of the chief secretary, the DC will issue the approval letter for releasing the returnees for undergoing home quarantine”.

In this connection, the DTF decided to follow the protocols strictly as per the revised SOP. On sample collection for testing at NHAK, the DTF also decided that the concerned assigned medical team will collect the sample of the returnees at the quarantine centres.
