Dimapur, May 4 (EMN): The Kohima district Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has informed that it will be awarding prizes to meritorious students, the topper, and to those who secure the highest aggregate “with 1st division,” on declaration of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) results.
A note from the board on Thursday stated that the awards will be given away “in the presence of honourable MLAs, district heads, concerned heads of institution and parents of the candidates.”“The HSLC appeared students are therefore urged to keep their finger crossed to avail the award and make yourself and Kohima DPDB proud,” stated Ketoho Luho, member-secretary of the DPDB of Kohima, in the press release.
The DPDB of Kohima has been awarding cash with citations to toppers and students who secure highest aggregates “with 1st division” in HSLC every year, the press release stated. It is to encourage the morale of students of government high schools in Kohima division and “to come up at par with their counterparts of private schools,” the board added.
