KOHIMA — The Kohima Darts Academy (KDA), supported by the Indian Darts Council (IDC), was inaugurated at Naga Hospital Colony, Kohima, on February 23.
Inaugurating the KDA as the special guest, Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, MLA, stressed the need to maintain constant practice to excel in the field of darts. He wished the academy success in bringing up youngsters and hoped it would produce national and international players.
Dr. Rhütso expressed hope that the academy would not just improve skills but also foster friendship, unity, confidence, and social interaction among the youth.

The KDA aims to promote the sport and nurture young talents, enrolling boys and girls aged eight years and above. It is equipped with six free-standing dartboard setups. Regular coaching sessions will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Vikehelie Suohu, proprietor of KDA, thanked the Nagaland Darts Association, Fun Tree Crew, Team One Nagaland, and Dynamic School of Darts for their support. He also thanked the Indian Darts Council for their guidance under the leadership of Devesh Srivastava.
“Today is not just about opening a darts academy, but it is about launching a dream,” Suohu said. “This is your home. Train hard, play fair, respect the game and never stop believing in your potential.”
The programme was attended by representatives from various darts organisations. A dedicatory prayer was earlier performed on February 22 by Rev. Kehoulelie Zatsu, pastor of CRC Naga Hospital Colony.
