Kohima commemorates rural livelihood scheme

Representatives from all the village development boards including women representatives in Kohima district attended the event.Speaking during the occasion as the chief guest, District Rural Development Blocks’ additional director Hilo Semp emphasized the need for cooperation, accountability and transparency among the village development boards and the department. He also underscored the importance of management information system as well as information education and communication (IEC) cells. During the programme, the impact of the MGNREGA scheme was reviewed, and competent implementation was encouraged. Awards for the best block and best VDB were also announced. Tseminyu RD Block and Phesama VDB won the honors.
