Kohima College tenders apology to Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio

Kohima College has tendered apology to Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio saying the institute had issued the graduation certificate to the latter with some error.
In its apology letter, Kohima College principal Dr Watijungshi said, “Neiphiu Rio graduated from Kohima College, Kohima in the year 1978 as per the records of the college”. According to the principal, “The college issued a Provisional Passed Certificate on his request on the 4th of December, 2012 with serial no. 1480, bearing Roll No. 436 in the year under NEHU”. The principal added that “the said certificate was issued wrongly as BA Passed with political Science Honours instead of BA General Pass Course.” The Kohima College principal then said, “The certificate was rectified and a Provisional BA Pass Certificate was issued to him on 9th Oct. 2015”.
In this regard, the college authority has expressed its regret for the error committed and tendered “apology to Shri Neiphiu Rio for the inconvenience created”.
