KOHIMA — Kohima College has launched the Master of Arts (MA) programme in Political Science and History for the first batch of students on Wednesday.
Marking the significant milestone, a formal programme was held with the students and faculty of the departments, which chaired by associate professor, Rukuovonuo Dozo, stated an update from the college.
The programme began with a short prayer said by assistant professor, Dr. Ketoukhrieü, followed with a speech by the college principal, Dr Vitsosie Vüprü.
In his address, Dr. Vüprü expressed his happiness on the launch of the MA programme. He has likened the launch event as a testament to the commitment towards holistic and progressive education as per the college’s motto “Search for excellence.”
He also congratulated the selected students for the college’s Masters programme and advised them to enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to make an enduring footprint for those to follow. He further thanked the faculty for their willingness and dedication to accept new endeavours.
Meanwhile, the college has thanked the minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, for his unwavering support towards the college and enabling to scale greater heights.
The programme concluded with an official photo session of all the participants.
