Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): Kohima district administration bade farewell to its outgoing deputy commissioner, Gregory Thejawelie, and other administrative officers during a programme held in the DC’s conference hall, Kohima, on June 14.

In his farewell speech, Gregory thanked the government for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Kohima district. He has credited all the success to the team work played by each government officials, APO, KVC, AWO, AYO, ASU, KVYO and other stakeholders during his tenure. He has requested them to extend the same support to the incoming officers.

Describing Covid pandemic as the biggest challenge, Gregory acknowledged the senior SP of Kohima for his support in maintaining law and order and the help extended to DTF. He also expressed gratitude to the CMO of Kohima, medical team, AYO, ASU, KVYO, ward chairmen and other frontal organisations and district officers for extending all the required help to contain the spread of Covid in the district.

Gregory also thanked the Angami Public Organisation and Kohima Village Council for taking the initiative and intervention on the road projects for smooth progress of the work particularly in constructing electric towers without allowing any individual to stop the work during the occurrence of land issues and complications. Besides, he also acknowledged KMC, KVYO, AYO, and ASU in assisting towards the implementation of a plastic-free environment which witnessed a drastic change in plastic waste management.

The outgoing revenue officer, Kelevituo Nisa; SDO (C) Kohima,  R Daniel Angami; and EAC Kohima, Dziesengunuo Mere; in their farewell speeches, expressed gratitude to the outgoing DC and other colleagues for their constant guidance and support during their tenure.

CMO of Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo; KMC administrator, Lanusenla Longkumer; and SDO (C) of Kohima, Kevingutuo Kulnu also spoke on the occasion.
