Kohima bids adieu to Anoop Khinchi

Dimpaur, July 5 (EMN): Kohima bid goodbye to Anoop Khinchi, IAS, who served as the Deputy Commissioner of the city, during a farewell programme held at DC conference hall on July 5.

Khinchi, who was the DC of Kohima for four months, accomplished many achievements including successful conduct of the Lok Sabha elections during his short stint, informed an update from DIPR.

In his farewell speech, Khinchi thanked his entire administrative staff for all the love and support they showed to him during his tenure, without which, he said would have been impossible to smoothly carry out his duties especially during the Lok Sabha elections. Describing his tenure as DC Kohima as “his most enjoyable posting so far,” he acknowledged the people of the district for their co-operation and support during his stay.

He went on to say that he would remember the experience in the years to come.

Speaking on behalf of the officers and staff of DC Office, ADC Kohima Lithrongla T Rutsa expressed sadness over the early transfer of a dedicated and hardworking administrative officer like Khinchi and said that they (staff) learned a lot from him. She added that he brought a lot of positive changes to the office during his short tenure and wished him the best for new endeavour as DC Dimapur.

KMC administrator KoviMeyase, who spoke on behalf of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), thanked the outgoing DC for sincere contributions to the district.
