Kohima, July 28 (EMN): More places in Kohima were sealed following detection of Covid-19 cases on July 27.
On detection of 10 persons with Covid-19, the Kohima district administration declared eight locations as containment zone. The sealing of various places in the defined locations were carried out by the district task force in the evening.
The novel coronavirus had found its way in four new localities viz. Officer’s Hill (Ward No. 19), lower Lerie (Ward No.16), lower Bayavü (Ward No.2) and upper Midland (Ward No.9); the infection was also detected in Kohima village and Sechü-Zubza.
More positive cases were also detected from the already marked containment zones in upper D-block (Ward No. 6) and lower Chandmari (Ward No.13).
Consequently, the deputy commissioner of Kohima and chairman of the district task force, Thejawelie Gregory, informed Nagaland chief secretary, stating that government quarters (East), The Heritage (West), Tri-junction (South) to water tank (North) were declared as containment zones and sealed near Raj Bhavan.

From Circular road (East), vacant road (West), Planning Quarters (South) to Kevisezo residence (North) in lower Lerie; from road leading to private residence (East), footstep (West), lower Bayavü main road (South) to government quarters (North) in lower Bayavü: from Circular main road towards Mouthuzou Council Hall (East), footstep (West), Circular main road (south) to Circular main road footstep (north) in L Khel; from Soil Conservation Institute gate (east), Kherü river (west), Sechüma MGNREGA road (south) to BSNL tower (north) in Sechü-Zubza; from footstep (east), footstep (west), retaining wall (south) and footstep (north) in Upper Midland.
The demarcated areas in upper D-block and lower Chandmari are already sealed in the existing containment zones.
