Kohima administration lifts sealed areas

Kohima, Aug. 22 (EMN):
Kohima district administration on Saturday lifted various areas that were previously sealed following detection of Covid-19 positive cases.

It stated that contact tracing of the Covid-19 positive persons were carried out in the sealed areas by the chief medical officer (CMO), Kohima, co-ordination team led by its district surveillance officer and epidemiologist of Kohima.

It also stated that all the primary and secondary contacts were identified and tested for Covid-19 infection. Subsequently, it has notified resumption of all normal activities in all the locations as per various standard operating procedure (SOP) and medical advisory and guidelines of the government that are still enforced.

The sealed areas which were lifted included official residence of advisor of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry at Old Minister’s Hill; Quarter No. MH/ 6 (MING) at Old Minister’s Hill; Quarter No. 196 at New Minister’s Hill; one residence at Piekrazou Colony in P Khel, Kohima village; and Cabin No. 1, 2, 3 and 5 at Oking Hospital Kohima, Old Building.
