Kohima, Sep. 15 (EMN): Kohima district administration has lifted all the sealed areas, which were notified on or before August 31. A notice in this regard was issued on September 14 following completion of fourteen days sealing as well as completion of contact tracing activities.
It informed that normal activities in all those locations would be allowed to resume henceforth as per various SOPs and medical advisory and guidelines of the government. The order, however, stated that it would not be applicable to the sealed areas where recent Covid-19 positive cases were detected and also to those kept under home isolation.
On detection of Covid-19 positive persons at various locations of wards and villages in the district, the office had earlier declared those locations as sealed areas whereby various restrictions were imposed to contain the spread of infection and kept under strict and active medical surveillance besides restricting public movement within those areas.
The order stated that contact tracing of Covid-19 positives were carried out in the sealed areas by the CMO co-ordination team led by the district surveillance officer and epidemiologist. It added that all primary and secondary contacts were identified and tested for Covid-19 infection.
