Kohima admin. reviews child protection ‘system’
Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): The Kohima administration convened a meeting of various departments and stakeholders on April 25 in the capital town to discuss the issue of child rights and child protection.
The government’s publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates on Thursday about the meeting.
The meeting was conducted to review ‘the system set in place’ to protect the rights of children and ensure that they are not exploited in any way, the IPR stated.
Members of various departments and stakeholders attended the meeting. A number of “burning issues” related to child rights and child protection was discussed at length during the meeting, with focus on educating the public and the need to take more concrete steps to ensure that no child is exploited in any way or form, the IPR stated.
