Kohima, April 26 (EMN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has approved the revised rates of chicken and duck within its jurisdiction after a meeting was held with the Fowls Traders Union and wholesalers within Kohima municipal jurisdiction on April 21 at KMC office.

In an order issued on April 23, KMC Administrator Kovi Meyase stated that the revised rates had been approved and directed all shopkeepers to display the approved rate chart near each weighing balance at all locations.

The update stated that use of digital weighing machines and wearing of aprons was mandatory and hygienic conditions should be maintained.

All shopkeepers have been directed to maintain social distancing and entertain one customer at a time. Customers have also been advised to wear masks and wash their hands before and after buying goods.

It said that no item would be sold beyond the fixed. All fowl and poultry shops located in the main town have been directed to shift to colonies, it added.
