DIMAPUR: The administrator and returning officer (RO) of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), T Lanusenla Longkumer, through a notification, informed that the election to urban local body (ULB) would be held for Ward Nos.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 of Kohima municipality with Ward Nos. 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 reserved for women.
The notification informed that nomination papers should be delivered by the candidate or his proposer either to the RO Lanusenla Longkumer or ARO Limakumla Pongener at KMC office, New Super Market Complex, Kohima, between 11 am and 3 pm on any day (other than public holiday) from April 3 and not later than April 10.
The notification also informed that forms of nomination papers could be obtained from KMC office and the nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny on April 12 and 13 at the office chamber of KMC administrator and RO.
The notification further stated that notice of withdrawal of candidature should be delivered by a candidate or his/ her proposer or election agent, who has been authorised in writing by the candidate, to its office before 3 pm on April 24. In the event of the election being contested, it informed that the poll would be conducted on May 16 between 7:30 and 3:30 pm.
