Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): To combat traffic congestion in the state’s capital, a joint meeting of the Kohima Municipal Kohima (KMC), Kohima traffic police and ward representatives resolved to restrict parking on both sides of the road within the wards.
A press release from the KMC on Thursday informed that they decided to conduct joint spot-verification to identify single lane parking spaces in all wards; conduct enforcement drives and tow away vehicles.
Citizens have been requested to clear all buildings materials, off-road vehicles lying on the road. Failure to comply would invite “needful action as deemed fit and necessary,” it stated.
