Diphu, June 19 (EMN): Karbi Longri & North Cachar Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF) has condemned the district administration for their numbness and curtailing the democratic rights of the KLNLF cadres “as partial in the earlier assembly election, the KLNLF cadres who camp at Diphu and Parokhuwa designated camp.
‘They could not cast their valuable votes even in this Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) election 2017 said Rijak Dera publicity secretary, KLNLF on Sunday.
Dera also said ‘they are ready to lodge complaint to higher authorities like State Election Commission (SEC) and Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’ and stated that after repeated discussion and deliberation with district administration postal ballot facility was given only to Rongmongve designated camp.
“We were very dissatisfied towards the ill treatment of district administration, as we are waiting for ballotand surprise to see that no polling officials or officials from district administration visit our camp’ he said.
We waited in our designated camp for postal ballot papers to be arrived so that we too also can cast out vote but in vain,” said a cadre of Diphu designated camp.
“Our cadres were gathered in their respective designated camps, as per the Government orders the entire cadre were present in their respective camp waiting for postal ballot to arrive.
After waiting for the official till evening however no official turn up in our camps, our cadres were surprise and irritated as nobody turn up and we vehemently criticized for their ill treatment towards our cadres,” added Dera.
‘KLNLF also warned the district administration that if they continue to do ill-treament then they will interrupt in the next upcoming election’.
