KOHIMA — The Kohima Lotha Assembly of God Church (KLAGC) on Wednesday celebrated its silver jubilee on the theme “Remembering God’s faithfulness” (Psalms 103).

Delivering a message on the occasion, Rev. Dr. Moses Murry, general superintendent of The Assemblies of God of East India, emphasised that jubilee is a time to reflect and express gratitude to God for His goodness and faithfulness. He underscored the importance of thanking the Almighty for His abundant provision and blessings bestowed upon their family and the church over the past years, emphasising that jubilees are opportunities to look forward and advance with a vision for a greater mission.

Rev. Murry also stated that jubilee is a time to assess their missionary efforts, note the number of missionaries sent to preach the gospel, and save the lost souls.

In order to fulfill the greater vision, the Reverend reminded believers on the necessity to pray for the nation, unreached people and those in positions of authority. He also emphasised the importance of engaging in gospel evangelism.

Mentioning that every believer is a missionary and must actively participate in evangelism and church planting to expand the kingdom of God, Rev. Murry underscored the importance of engaging in giving, which was commanded by God.

He said, “God loves the cheerful giver; when we give, God is pleased and He blesses us more.”

He stated that the “greatest jubilee is going to take place in heaven at the wedding of the Lamb.” As the members celebrate the jubilee, he encouraged them to continue engaging in prayer, evangelism and giving.

The occasion was marked by song presentations from the jubilee choir and Nyanbeni Ngullie, release of the jubilee souvenir by Rev. Lijamo Kikon, greetings from Rev. Dr. Benry Lotha, prayers by Rev. Zuchamo Shitiri, pastor Chenithung Yanthan and Rev. Dr. Mhonyamo Ngullie, and scripture reading by Kumlanthung Kikon.

Pastor Khonbemo Ngullie led the service, while Zajamo Kikon, the jubilee convenor, delivered a vote of thanks and pastor Nzanmongo Ngullie said the benediction.
