‘KK Sema is Not Only Misleading the Nagas; He is Abetting Civil War’

If what the Nagas were to hate the most, it is war and bloodshed. In the first place, the Nagas never asked for war. Forces that came to invade Land of the Nagas have inflicted on the Naga people the goriest of crimes and the most loathsome human rights situations the world has ever witnessed. The only valid reason, if that is justifiable, be it that the Nagas had consistently refused to submit to their authorities. In the person of one Naga, Mr. KK Sema, who still insists on violence and bloodshed, must be rubbished, to be isolated to himself for abetting and promoting civil war while the Nagas have yearned for peace, justice and rest for more than half a century today. Shrouded behind the shadow of so called ACAUT, KK Sema gathered thousand young Naga students. He fed them with hate and civil war. Assuming his community name: Sema, he even went to the extent of abusing and insulting a Naga Revolutionary legendry as a ‘rubber stamp’, ‘shadow of NSCN’ etc. What has late IsakChishiSwu done to the Naga people will forever stand witness to the Universal Pursuit for Justice. What has late IsakChishiSwu gained for giving away his whole life to restore peace and justice to his own people, the Nagas and all the suppressed and marginalized Indigenous peoples the world over when he addressed the United Nations Organisation at the behest of peoples in distress like the Nagas? What authority has KK Sema to use his tribe’s name to represent the issues of the whole Naga population and coin late IsakChishi as Swu ‘rubber stamp’ or ‘shadow of NSCN’? An IAS conferred official, who is well acquainted and specialized with the corruption-institutionalized state like Nagaland in different secretariat levels, could have served the Naga young generation to do away with corruptions and evil practices in Christian state like Nagaland if he were in a stable mental state. Secondly, the ACAUT he represents as its supremo, could have garnered supports of thousand victims of corruptions, scams and squanderer political Institution like present Nagaland, had the ACAUT stood true to its proclamation. ACAUT is never an association that stands for sweeping corruptions in the state; it has, true to its actual color, turned a platform where hate is being preached to promote violence targeting the hard-earned Peace Process that has achieved in putting a Framework Agreement between GoI and the Naga people.

The Nagas’ struggle for JustPeace has lasted decades involving untold miseries. Sacrifices that the Naga people have collectively suffered, the highly unusual military actions and their brunt the Nagas had endured, tell all what it means to regain the eternal rights of the Naga people to self determine their political future. Let the whole Naga people ask this question to KK Sema as he enjoys the authority to ferociously ravage on the Indo-Naga political peace talks: ‘What better solution has KK Sema for the Naga people and the Government of India by jeopardizing the current peace initiatives?’ Let KK Sema come up with his fond idea of ‘civil war’ to guarantee peace and justice to both the Naga people and the GoI. Let KK Sema give both the parties involved his better option, to say that GoI has been so stupid to sustain the political talks for two decades today without first identifying as to who truly represent the interests of the Naga people; that civil war he has been advocating among the Naga people is necessary to give stability in North East India. Let KK Sema and his ACAUT manfully claim and own the responsibility should there ever be bloodshed.

At the most the ACAUT could represent Dimapur Chamber of Commerce, Dimapur Tella Union, Dimapur Motors Union, Dimapur Garrage Union and Dimapur Auto Union. These unlawful associations collect taxes to sponsor KK Sema’s high ground to fuel violence, incense hypertension among Naga fraternal oneness and, to further tear the Nagas down when they are already on the threshold to embrace long-denied liberty, to be a free people and to be a free Nation.

KK Sema being elementally inherent like his late father, KhelosheChishi who was once a deputy Minister under the then undivided Assam Government, who being privileged to be airborne, was deeply encroached with the idea to bring all Naga revolutionaries to the terms of the enemies, who were then on the constant run from military atrocities, while the late father distributed leaflets demanding instant surrender or face the consequences. The Naga people at the most, wish KK Sema and his bosom friend JoelRengma to be happy with such handsome Honorarium of rupee one lakh and fifty thousand per month plus other lavish allowances for rekindling fratricidal quarrels, and also, for furthering the agenda of other perfidious elements that are ceaselessly bent on cracking down what has been achieved between the Government of India and the Naga people at large, through the on-going sincere political discussions between the two different political entities for the past two decades.

Every sane Naga citizen understands as to what extent the Naga revolutionaries have walked past under unrecorded history of not only environmental furies but the harshness of times and situations that were associated with the most atrocious and unrelenting military offensives blended with the snares and stalking of Naga-turned-coats who never spared every moment to hunt down Naga brothers and sisters in arms. Submitting themselves to the Cause of Naga freedom, they dared defy the constant shadows of death’s cold fingers every move they made. These Naga revolutionary comrades would never give up until the enemies would candidly respond to the seriousness of Naga struggle for nothing less than political and negotiated settlement. Their unrecorded investments of human lives and blood unstoppably created the conditions required to draw the attention of GoI. Let the Naga people listen to their conscience and not to the sounds and noises of the likes of KK Sema that there was a time when the GoI would never nudge from its radical position that the Naga’s Case is nothing but ‘law and order’. Nothing shorter than the Commander in Chief of Indian Defense once spoke to the Indian political Authority that the ‘case of the Nagas is never law and order’. Later, a former Indian Prime Minister admitted that they, the Indian authorities, had finally realized the ‘futility of seeking military solution’.

Let every Naga household, every Naga citizen, figure out the rationale of Mr. KK Sema and his friends that, every time those unqualified unions’ sponsored platform is created, to give convenience to the loud noise of highly criminal intent and motivated by corruption-institutionalized state political ambition, lambast a long-standing conflict and its frontline leadership in order to derail the Peace Talks. Any pssible catastrophic consequences that will recur will not be of civil war alone as Mr. KK Sema propounds, the ultimate fallout will imperatively beset the entire Naga Nation on a longer and most tragic setting over again.

Finally, Mr.KKSema and like-minded colleagues may be brought to their clear conscience that there are millions of Nagas outside the present state of Nagaland who too, deserve the freedom to exist and live like those who have been benefitted by the profuse sanction of money to the 16th state of India called Nagaland as the brain child of an inglorious document, like the 16-point draft proposals, to quiet down the Naga’s Struggle to restore the Nagas to their right place.
