Kire visits quarantine centres in Kohima

Kohima, July 1 (EMN): Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, visited various home quarantine centres set up at different colonies in Kohima in the past two weeks.

An update from Ato Puro, PA to the advisor, stated that the advisor visited the quarantine centres at Forest Colony, Para-medical, Lerie Chazou, Lower AG, Upper Chandmari, Naga Bazaar, New Minister’s Hill, Poterlane, Electrical colony, Agri Farm and Lower Agri. Colony to access the functionality of those centres.

During his visit, Kire expressed satisfaction over the preparedness and the joint efforts put in by the colony authorities in providing the home quarantine facilities for the returnees. To take stock on the ground situation, he held a short discussion with the respective colony chairmen and colony authorities engaged at the quarantine centres.

In his address to the members, Kire encouraged them to continue extending the best possible services to the people at quarantine centres. He further briefed on precautions that needs to be adopted to combat the surge of Covid-19 pandemic and community transmissions.

The report stated that during the visit, the advisor had also rendered financial assistance to the colonies.
