Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): The Kire ‘Chienuo’ (clan) has issued a clarification on Wednesday stating that Lhoubeilatuo Kire, principal secretary of Rural Development had never served any ultimatum to NPF party nor to TR Zeliang as alleged.
A press release appended by clan president, Dr. Kikrukuolie Kire and general secretary, Vilavotuo Kire stated that after the series of allegation and counter allegation on the bedrock of RD department vis a vis MNREGS fund allocation in Kuda village under Dimapur district, the clan have a clear stance since inception.
“We are neither against any political party nor malicious intention to demean the role of opposition in democratic set-up. However, we felt necessary and just to support and fight against hatched conspiracy meted to a family member,” the press release stated.
While clarifying its stance, the clan stated it was confirmed from the organizations that Lhoubeilatuo Kire ‘had never lobbied nor rallied support of social organizations for issuing press release in his favour.’
“It is the Kire clan who questioned the conduct of Shri TR Zeliang in the light of instances of personalized allegation. Further, it demand from Shri TR Zeliang the reason behind personalized vendetta against our clan member within stipulated period in the last press statement,” the clan justified.
Citing TR Zeliang, leader of opposition’s statement published on April 30— “as human being, I might have committed mistakes. Nevertheless, I fail to recollect any action taken against Lhoubeilatuo Kire based on hatred or enimity some 20 years back,” the Kire clan said it acknowledged human limitations. However, the clan stated ‘the former openly ask if any action or allegation initiated by him should be brought to light for clarification in public domain or individual level, is unacceptable to the Chienuo, since we have evidence of the instances and living witness.’
The Kire clan said ‘it will not drag the matter on media tussle, rather as per the resolution the matter will be traditionally and customarily dealt with.’
Further, it has cautioned that in the process if anything happen to Lhoubeilatuo Kire physically or his career, Kire Chienuo shall put the blame and responsibility to TR Zeliang.
