Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): Kiphire district task force (DTF) on Covid-19 has decided to undertake intensified Covid-19 vaccination drive on June 28 at Zisaji Presidency Government College, Kiphire, from 10 am to 1 pm.
In this regard, the DTF has requested all the beneficiaries from 18 years and above to avail the opportunity. It added that beneficiaries could do spot registration by producing ID proof. Earlier on June 22, a meeting of head of departments (HoD) in Kiphire held a meeting at the DPDB hall of the deputy commissioner’s office to discuss the Covid situation including the ongoing vaccination drive in the district.
The deputy commissioner of Kiphire, Rahul Mali, who chaired the meeting, briefed the members on the status of Covid-19 activities in the district including vaccination and random sampling test. He also appealed the HOD to come forward and fight together against Covid-19, an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Kiphire, stated.
Also speaking at the meeting, Dr. K Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP), has highlighted the coverage of the Covid vaccination and briefed the members about certain strategies to be adopted in the district to effectively carry forward with Covid vaccination.
He appealed to the line departments to adopt certain villages and disseminate proper information on Covid vaccine and take ownership to promote vaccination to prevent further spread of Covid-19.
Besides, he urged the HOD to supervise and monitor the government directions to be implemented at village level on pandemic preparedness. Report mentioned that the members agreed and assured their cooperation.
