Kiphire to give priority to health workers for Covid-19 Kiphire

Dimapur, Dec. 10 (EMN): District task force on Covid-19 vaccines and district task force on intensified pulse polio immunisation conducted a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kiphire on December 10.

The meeting was chaired by the deputy commissioner, Ajit Kumar Ranjan.
Dr. Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP) informed that the beneficiaries for Covid-19 vaccines would comprise of all the frontline health workers, including Ashas and Anganwadi workers, an update stated.

He informed that the district had identified 546 beneficiaries, which were uploaded in the portal successfully. The rollout of Covid-19 vaccines in the district would begin upon availability of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pewezo Khalo gave a micro plan presentation on intensified pulse polio immunisation, during which bottleneck issues about immunisation were discussed.
