Kiphire DPDB meeting held

DIMAPUR — The monthly Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) and vice-chairman of DPDB Temsuwati Longkumar at the DC conference hall in Kiphire.

During the meeting, discussing the application for the registration of the Tizisa Cultural Club Society from Sangphure village under Kiphire, the board approved the proposal and forwarded it to the higher authorities for registration, according to a DIPR report.

NGOs from the Kiusam area and Kiphire requested the district administration to inform the line departments about the improvement and maintenance of the drainage system in Kiphire town under the aspirational development projects.

The chairman reminded the board about the visit of the finance minister of India to Kiphire in November and discussed the preparations for the visit. The deputy commissioner also urged the members to be present in their respective places of posting and to be well prepared with their departmental activities.
