DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on Friday at the DC’s conference hall.
Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, John Tsulise Sangtam, chaired the meeting, a DIPR report stated.
One of the key discussions during the meeting revolved around the change of nomenclature of ‘Hakomude’ village to ‘Hakkomute,’ which reflects the accurate pronunciation of the village name.
The members of the board unanimously approved the change of nomenclature.
In a review of the previous meeting’s agenda, the formation of the Kiphire Officer’s Club was discussed and members led by the deputy commissioner as the president, were also inducted into the club.
The board also approved registration fee of INR 2000 and annual membership fee of INR1000 for the club.
An agenda regarding the proposal for creation of a child development project officer (CDPO) office at Longmatra was deferred to the next meeting as to the concerned officer was on leave.
The board also welcomed two new members, Heoka H Sumi, SDO (PHED) and T Khyodemo Ovung, officer in-charge of Government Industrial Training Institute, Kiphire.
