Kiphire-bound NST bus meets with accident

Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): A Kiphire bound Nagaland State Transport (NST) night bus from Dimapur met with an accident on July 19 evening at around 5:30 pm.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP), Kohima, and PRO, Vitoshe Sumi told Eastern Mirror that the accident occurred around 9 km from Kohima town before reaching Chakhabama.

 It was reported that the bus was carrying 29 passengers.

The bus reportedly hit a retaining wall to avert a major accident because of mechanical failure.

No major injury was reported and the details of the accident will be known only after the MVI report is available, the PRO said.
