Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): Kiphire district administration and Election department organised a farewell programme for the outgoing assistant electoral officer (AEO), Olivi Thurr in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on February 3.
Speaking at the programme, the deputy commissioner of Kiphire, T Wati Aier, said Olivi had served the district with utmost sincerity in all the assigned works. The DC also urged the Election department to be well-prepared as the state assembly elections would be conducted soon, stated a DIPR report.
In her farewell speech, the outgoing officer said she enjoyed working together in the district and added that the tasks were successfully done because of cooperation and support from various departments and the people of Kiphire district.
Short speeches were delivered by ADC, Rahul Mali, and UDA of Election department Lipimong. Vinoka from DC’s office, presented a song while the vote of thanks was delivered by LDA, L Sepi Sangtam. The programme was chaired by EAC, Chumbenthung Murry.
