Kikruma Students’ Union conducts 40th session

Kohima, Oct. 5 (EMN): The Kikruma Students’ Union Kohima organised on October 5 the organisation’s 40th general session and “freshers’ social” with Chikrokhoyo Kezo, senior political assistant to the minister for Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, as the event’s guest speaker.
In his address at the event, Kezo advised the students to manage their time and to do justice to their work. “Action is the fundamental key to all success,” Kezo said.

Maintaining that ‘working hard is outdated’ in the present society, he urged the students to work smart, and be smart, sincere and efficient for them to find a place in the future.

The guest speaker also opined that to live a peaceful life adopting to live in peace is a key and urges the students to be peace makers. He exhorted the students to be equipped with ‘new age skills’ to be ‘good fits for the job market.’

Equip with new age skills and be watchful of things that are changing, the students were told.
The speaker advised the students to be law-abiding citizens. He said no one is above the law. Likewise, he advised the students to shun violence and to be peace-loving citizens of the society.

A citizen, Krosanyo Puro also exhorted the students to stay focused on their goals and to pursue them while advising the students to be humble and to seek God to achieve success in life.

Further, a high school leaving certificate board examination topper Kreyo Kezo besides other students, who secured meritorious marks, were also felicitated during the programme.

A new team of KSUK executives was also appointed during the event. The team for the tenure is led by Thujove Tunyi as president, Potsolu Kezo as vice-president and Mulukho Puro as general secretary.
