Kidnapped infant rescued, 18 year old arrested

[caption id="attachment_136583" align="alignleft" width="300"] Pinky Debnath[/caption] Our Correspondent Diphu, Sep. 3 (EMN): One teenage girl identified as Pinky Debnath (18), a resident of Lumding was apprehended at Diphu railway station for kidnapping and selling a six and half month’s old infant under Diphu police station on Saturday. Luckily, the infant parent’s could trace Pinky Debnath while she was returning towards Diphu railway station after selling the baby for Rs. 1000 to one Nomita Das, a barren woman and a resident of Panbari area in Diphu. According to the statement of the infant parents, their baby was kidnapped from Dimapur Railway Station while they were asleep. The parent’s of the infant then followed the kidnapper and was caught at Diphu railway station immediately the after the infant was handed over to the woman. Source informed that the teenage girl who was caught was later handed over to Diphu RPF and a case has been registered in this connection.
