Two marksmen from Khuzama village won silver at the National Air Rifle Benchrest Shooting Championship in Karnataka.

DIMAPUR — Two marksmen from Khuzama village under Kohima district, Dr. Kerhehol Kera and Kevipozu Hibo, won silver medals at the 2nd National Air Rifle Benchrest Shooting Championship held in Karnataka from November 21 to the 23rd.
According to an update from the Khuzama Youth Organisation, Dr. Kerhehol Kera secured silver representing Northeast India in the man category, while Kevipozu Hibo won silver representing India in the master category.

Earlier, at the All India 2nd Rimfire and Air Rifle Benchrest Shooting Championship held in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on October 11 and 12, Dr. Kera secured 4th position (All India ranking), and Hibo achieved 5th position (All India ranking).
Their performances have earned them qualification to represent India at the International Benchrest Shooting Championship scheduled for June 2026 in Indonesia.

The Khuzama Youth Organisation congratulated both shooters for their achievements, stating that their success marks a proud moment for Khuzama village and Nagaland.
