Khulazu Basa and Thenyizu advance in football on second day of CAGSA meet

Kohima, Jan. 5 (EMN): The Chokri Area Games and Sports’ Association (CAGSA) 49th meet entered the second day at the Khulazu Basa village’s local ground in Phek district on Sat. Jan. 5.
The first football match of the day was played between the host village, Khulazu Basa, who is also the defending champion of the 48th CAGSA meet and Rukizu village.
Interestingly, the first goal of the day was scored as early as a minute, soon after the match began. It was an acclaimed footballer from Nagaland, Velukho Rhakho from team Khulazu Basa who scored the goal through a free-kick.
At the 8th minute, Metsito Keyho from team K Basa scored the second goal. K Basa team won the match after crushing team Rukizu 2-0.
The second match was played between Thenyizu village and Chetheba town. It was Nusezo Kezo from the team Thenyizu who scored the goal in the first half of the match. Team Thenyizu led the match by the score and won the second match of the day.
It may be mentioned that the athletic games for the CAGSA’s 49th were concluded in the first half of the second day. The day also witnessed five matches of volleyball in female category.
