  • DIMAPUR — "Khongsa30plus"—a 100-day village-led intervention campaign for the Khongsa Aspirational Block in Kiphire district, fully owned by the village councils and village development boards, culminated in an improvement in the Aspirational Block Programme KPIs, strengthened by the two key pillars of last-mile convergence and hyper-local collaborations.

  • The goal of the 'Khongsa30plus' campaign was to improve screening for hypertension and diabetes among the target population above 30 years of age in the Khongsa Aspirational Block and to transform the Village Health Nutrition and Sanitation Day (VHSND) into a comprehensive services day, spearheaded by Karuna Fellows, the Piramal Foundation, and the VCC and VDB Union Khongsa Block.

  • Screening coverage had increased to 54% and 53% as of March 2025, tripling from the baseline of 20% and 19% (April – December 2024), respectively.

  • With this campaign, there has been an increase of 34% in both indicators. The campaign has reached 19 villages within the Khongsa Aspirational Block of Kiphire district, screening over 1,500 individuals across the block.

  • Piramal Foundation Kiphire thanked the district and block administration for their support, as well as the Social Welfare Department, Health Department, Education Department (EBRC Pungro), Rural Development Department, PHE Department, NSRLM Khongsa Block, Mobile ICTC, youth volunteers, churches, village councils, and VDBs under Khongsa Block for their engagement and partnership in building a healthier community through the campaign.
