Dimapur, Nov. 18 (EMN): Khiamniungan Cultural Committee (KCC) has mourned the untimely demise of former KTC president W Chuba Lam, who passed away on November 13 at Noklak hospital.
In a condolence note, KCC president, Khongphe, and the general secretary, Bamoi, described W Chuba Lam as a dedicated, sincere and true statesman and leader, who served the community selflessly till his last breath. While mourning his demise, KCC stated that his selfless contributions would ever be cherished and remembered for generations to come.
KCC further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
In a related statement, the Eastern Region Khiamniungan Students’ Union has mourned the demised of W Chuba Lam. In a condolence message, the union president C Simon and the general secretary TL Khaoshai described W Chuba Lam as one who possesses leadership personality and an inspiration for younger generation.
It also described him as a courageous leader who could overcome every challenge with smile. It lamented that with his demise, the community has lost a great soul and visionary leader whose vacuum would be difficult to fill in.
The union has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
